Yes. The Adult & Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED and Basic Life Support (BLS) courses are OSHA-compliant and satisfy workplace first aid training mandates. The Wilderness First Aid course also aligns with OSHA's Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs.
The course fee includes online coursework access, the in-person skills session, a free digital participant manual, and your American Red Cross digital certificate — Same-day certification is included for daytime classes at no extra cost.

Yes. We offer group rates for businesses, schools, nonprofits, and organizations with 5 or more participants. Contact us to discuss options — we can also bring training to your location for larger groups.
Yes. Bear CPR offers a discounted rate for registered members of Scouting America (BSA) and Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA). You must be a registered member and provide your membership ID number at registration. See our CPR for Scouting page for details.
Cancellation or reschedule requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before your class start time. Requests made less than 48 hours prior may not be honored. Please review the full Terms & Conditions for complete details, or contact us with questions.

Bear CPR offers classes at multiple times to fit your schedule, including weekday mornings, weekday evenings, and Saturdays. Visit the Book Now page for the current class schedule.
We recommend registering as early as possible since class sizes are limited. Give yourself 2-3 hours to complete the online component. Registration closes 48 hours before each class start time. For the First Aid CPR/AED class, the maximum is 12 students; BLS is limited to 9 students.

The in-person skills session is approximately 2 hours for both the First Aid CPR/AED and BLS courses. Total time including the online portion:
Our office is open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Classes run outside of standard office hours — including evenings and Saturdays. Check the class schedule for exact times.
Blended learning combines self-paced online coursework with an in-person skills session. Here's how it works:
Yes — this is required. The online portion must be completed before attending the in-person skills session. Students who arrive without completing the online coursework may be denied entry without a refund. Bring your course completion record (printed or on your phone) to show your instructor.
A laptop or desktop computer is strongly recommended. Mobile phones are not recommended. Use an up-to-date version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. You'll need a high-speed internet connection. Visit redcross.org for current system requirements.
Allow approximately 2-3 hours to complete the online portion for the First Aid CPR/AED course. The BLS online portion is also self-paced. You don't have to finish it in one sitting — you can save your progress and return.
You'll receive an email with your online course link, ePu study materials, and additional instructions 3–7 days before your scheduled class. Check your spam folder if you don't see it. If it's less than 3 days before your class and you haven't received anything, contact us right away.
All Bear CPR certifications are American Red Cross certifications valid for two years from the date of issue. You'll need to recertify before your certificate expires to maintain compliance.
Yes — for daytime classes, you receive your American Red Cross digital certificate the same day at no extra cost. For evening classes (those ending after 5:00 PM), the certificate will be emailed the following business day.
The Red Cross digital certificate (eCard) is an official electronic certificate accessible from any phone or computer. It includes your name, certification type, issue date, expiration date, and a unique certificate number. It is recognized and accepted by employers, regulatory agencies, and organizations nationwide. You can download, print, or share it digitally.
No. Certifications from other organizations (such as the American Heart Association) cannot be transferred to an American Red Cross certification. Each organization maintains its own separate program and records. To hold a Red Cross certification, you must complete a Red Cross course.
Yes. You can take any of our standard courses to renew your certification. You don't need to wait until your certificate expires — many employers recommend renewing early. Simply book a class as you normally would.

There are two ways to find your Red Cross certificate:
Option 1 — For certificate holders
Visit redcross.org/take-a-class/digital-certificate and search using the email address you registered with. All your Red Cross certifications will appear and can be downloaded or printed.
Option 2 — For employers
Employers can verify an employee's certification using the certificate number at the same Red Cross verification page. This confirms validity and expiration date.

First, check your spam or junk email folder. For evening classes (ending after 5:00 PM), certificates are emailed the following business day. If you still haven't received it after 24 hours, contact us at (951) 387-8605 and we'll help track it down. You can also search directly on the Red Cross digital certificate page using your email address.
Yes. Once you access your digital certificate through the Red Cross website, you can download and print it yourself. You can also order an official printed certificate directly from the American Red Cross through that same page.
